For many of us, body confidence and self-love isn’t something that comes naturally to us. For whatever reason, whether it be a genetic influence, negative experiences in the past, or a knock on effect from the media and the society around us, it can sometimes be difficult to find ourselves in a confident mindset and a huge factor of this is how we see ourselves.
When you wake up in the morning and you catch your reflection in a mirror, what is your first thought? Be honest!
If it’s “Damn! This person staring back at me looks like they can take on the world, conquer their fears and achieve their wildest dreams all in one day” then all I can say is, you have this self-confidence thing in the bag, you are rocking it!

Body positivity and self-confidence, without a doubt, go hand in hand. Self-love and acceptance are huge barriers for a lot of people and when we find ourselves surrounded by images of beautiful Instagram models, stunning actresses and performing artists, filters on our friends’ photos online, it’s so easy to start to compare ourselves to unattainable standards.
If you don’t see yourself in a positive light, you may very well be putting obstacles and limiting beliefs in your way, and stopping yourself from reaching the goals that you so truly deserve to reach.
The good news is that there is so much more of a spotlight on body positivity and self-love in the media today. There are people from all different industries fighting to spread the message that you can and you SHOULD be confident in your own skin. You’re only given one body in life, and the moment you embrace it, and love it, along with the amazing talents you already hold, the way you view the world and everything in it will have the most fantastic impact on your life.
